    Course Goals

     

    The goal of this course is to provide all middle school students with an introduction to the principles of computer science, basic keyboarding skills, Internet safety and usage, and computer applications as they apply to career related topics.

     

     

    Objectives

     

    The middle school curriculum objectives are based on the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards in the focus areas of Technology and 21st Century Life and Career Skills.

     

     

    Summary Description

     

    Using project based instruction; students are introduced to the principles of business in the 21st century while refreshing their keyboarding skills. This course should also help students to use computers effectively, thus providing the opportunity to explore information and technology related to life skills and future careers.

     

     

    Grading Policy

     

    Students will be graded using appropriate holistic rubrics, formal as well as informal assessments and teacher observation on individual and group work.
